Dr B Jenkins - Senior Clinical Lecturer is Associate Director of Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Services at North Glamorgan Trust, Merthyr Tydfil. He is a member of the Welsh Intensive Care Society.
Dr I Hodzovic - Senior Clinical Lecturer with Consultant Anaesthetist duties based at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. His academic duties include: SSC tutor for Year 3, Year 4 and Final Year medical students, regular lectures to Year 2 and Year 3 medical students, sitting on the SSC and Clinical Integrative Panels and is examiner for the Intermediate MB Clinical Competence Examination – Year 3. He also sits on the Medical school entry interview panel. He co-ordinates and conducts airway management research and is a member of the Anaesthetic Research Society. He is a member of the Research and Development Committee of the Gwent Health Care NHS Trust and is Audit chair of the Royal Gwent Hospital anaesthetic department. He is APLS and ALS instructor. He contributes regularly (lectures and workshops) to the MSc in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, MSc in Pain and MSc in Peri-operative management. His clinical duties involve anaesthesia for Upper GI, Vascular and Eye surgery.
Dr John S Mecklenburgh - Senior Lecturer. He is the Course tutor for MSc in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care which has been running in the department since 1990. Also involved in the research of the department and has responsibility for the departmental computers. Particularly interested in the way patients respond to ventilatory assistance provided by lung ventilators.
